Published in October 2011, the third volume of the acclaimed 'Vanishing Ireland' series by Turtle Bunbury & photographer James Fennell was also the best-selling Picture Book in Ireland over Christmas 2011.

The two previous volumes were shortlisted for the Irish Published Book of the Year at the 2007 and 2010 Irish Book Awards respectively. A fourth volume is now in motion.

As of October 2012, the 'Vanishing Ireland' series has sold over 62,000 books. Turtle has also been delivering talks on the project in New York, Chicago, Dublin, Limerick and Monte Carlo.

'Vanishing Ireland - Recollections of Our Changing Times' marked Turtle's sixth collaboration with photographer James Fennell. The book was launched at the Hugh Lane Gallery in Dublin (18th October) the Hunt Museum, Limerick (20th October) with a wonderful talk by legendary GAA commentator Micheál Ó Muircheartaigh.

An exhbition of photographs from the project is on show at Cill Rialaig in Co. Kerry, following successful exhibitions at the Visual Arts Centre in Carlow (Éigse Carlow Arts Festival, 2012) and the Hunt Museum, Limerick City, which drew over 11,000 visitors during Autumn 2011.
